Abstract:

Organic single crystall (SC), polycrystalline (PC), single-(SLC) and multilayer scintillators (MLC) based on stilbene, anthracene, n-terphenyl and n-terphenyl doped with 1,4-diphenyl-1,3-butadiene are considered. It is shown, that all studied scintillators characterize by the presence of both shallow dynamic traps and deeper traps of structural origin. In the transition from the SC->SLC->MLC->PC growing influence of structural traps on the formation of scintillation flash was observed. The depths of the main traps for the test materials are determined. The main reason for the decrease in the signal of radioluminescence in the considered systems under the change of their supramolecular structure is the formation of the deep trap centers of structural origin.
