Influence of growth conditions on chemical composition and properties of borate crystals for laser application

Abstract: 

The influence of technological growth conditions on the formation of defects and color centers in Ca3RE2(BO3)4 (RE-Y, Gd) crystals is investigated. According to the study of the optical properties and chemical analysis data the role of boron vacancy in the formation of color centers is determined.
