Technological possibilities for the control of the molecular association process and disordering degree in J-aggregates of 1-methyl-1'octadecyl-2,2'-cyanine iodide being formed in binary dimethylformamide-water solvents are discussed. Water molecules have been stated to affect substantially the perfectness of the J-aggregate molecular chain and define essentially the disorder degree of the latter.
