Domain formation study in ferrite-garnet Y2.6Sm0.4Fe3.8Ga1.2O2 film in external magnetic field

Formation of magnetic domains has been studied experimentally in uniaxial ferrite-garnet film of Y2.6Sm0.4Fe3.8Ga1.2O2 composition. It is shown that visual observation of the domain structure picture after the planar magnetic field action on the ferrite-garnet film can offer a simple and essentially exact method to reveal the defect sites. The cubic anisotropy is found to be the main one in the film.
