Using Zn single crystals as an example, it has been shown
that low-temperature cycling treatment (LTCT) influences the structural
state and additional resistivity (DELTA R) of this metal. It has
been established that with increasing the thermocycle number up to
betacc = 5 a marked increase of the basal dislocation density
in (0001)< 11-20 > system takes place. The low-angle
boundaries have been shown to be formed already after 3 thermocycles.
An influence of the thermocycle number on the DELTA R value has
been found. Structure investigations during the LTCT allow to assume
that DELTA R change at betacc = 3 is associated mainly
with a contribution of low-angle tilt boundaries.
