Thermostimulated luminescence of pure and doped lithium tetraborate
(LTB) single crystals in the temperature range 290-600 K has
been studied. The trap activation energies have been calculated. Europium
has been found to favour a further increase of the light sum storage
of LTB crystals. The traps with E = 0.95 eV and E
= 1.1 eV are supposed to be electrical capture centers. Qualitative
considerations on the nature of observed recombination processes have
been stated.
